Had an epic adventure with Tia, Cary and Lori this past weekend running
the Beaverhead 55K/100K in Idaho. BY FAR the toughest 100K I've run.
This shot from their website shows the ridgeline and skree section at
10,000+'. It came near the end of the race. There were 3 or 4 pinnacles
like this that we had to summit. Amazing views. Finished in just over 16
hours. 18th overall, 2nd in age class.

Had a fun time at Tillamook last week with Tia, Bonnie and Mark! A big 'Thank You!' to Mark for the great job he did crewing.

Peterson Ridge Rumble 2016
Had a fun time at Peterson this year. Finished 45 minutes slower than last year, but in keeping with my current level of training. Some new shoes ... New Balance Leadville ... seemed to help with my shin splints. We had a big crowd from Corvallis, and everyone did very well. Especially proud of Elisha, who having never run a marathon or 50K jumped right into the deep end of the pool to complete the 40 miler!

A good run
Today's run started out poorly. The first few miles were sluggish, with lots of walking, and I was going to cut it short. I bumped into Anne. We ran a few together. And things picked up. We parted ways at Powderhouse. I ran the rest of the Condor course feeling pretty good. I was going to walk Section 36 a second time, but bumped into Linda and Mac. Mac is such a good little boy and awesome trail runner. Cranked it and ran most of the way to Peavy Peak, feeling really good. Total for the day was 20 miles. Just keep moving.
